To Prospective Clients

Thank you for your inquiry. We are accepting new clients on a selective basis in order to maintain our quality of service for existing clients. Let me briefly describe the services we provide to help determine whether we would be a good fit.

Our services

We are specialists in luxury hotels and resorts. Our intention is to provide the highest possible level of service when making hotel bookings. Toward that end, we have developed a hands-on and time-intensive booking process, following up every reservation by reaching out to the hotel directly and speaking with sales staff to communicate your own particular requirements and preferences. We inspect your confirmation to ensure that Virtuoso or Preferred Partner amenities are specified, and we will do everything possible to make sure your amenities are documented. We follow up with hotel management to flag you as a VIP guest and ask that you be upgraded if possible.

Are we a good fit?

If you can answer yes to the following questions, we would look forward to welcoming you as a new client. Please call with any questions or concerns.

1. Are you an upscale traveler who stays in the top tier of luxury hotels and resorts?

We provide our clients with exclusive amenities at over 900 luxury properties around the world, such as Four Seasons, Amanresorts, Ritz-Carlton, Dorchester Collection, Rosewood, Mandarin Oriental, and Orient Express hotels and resorts.

2. Do you appreciate the value and service you receive by booking through a Virtuoso agent (as opposed to an online website)?

We do more than just make a reservation; we work with our contacts at each property to ensure you are recognized as a VIP guest and to make them aware of your preferences. We can usually secure for you the Best Available flexible rate – and sometimes a rate discounted from the BAR – and you will also receive complimentary amenities such as complimentary daily breakfast for two, room upgrades upon arrival if available, and extra amenities that differ by property. Though you may occasionally find a lower price through an online site, often that price requires a 100% pre-payment and can have more stringent cancellation policies. You will never get your stay VIP’ed or receive the Virtuoso amenities when booking through a wholesaler, and online booking engines cannot possibly provide the level of service we routinely offer our clients.

3. Do you want to establish a relationship with a travel consultant?

Our goal is to get to know you and your preferences so that we can handle your travel arrangements as effectively as possible with attention to personal detail. Most of our clients make their booking requests by email, although we also have a toll-free phone number for your convenience. We will respond to you and make your reservations as quickly as possible and follow up to your requests.

If you’re just shopping the internet, looking for the best deal for a single booking, we are not a good fit.

4. Do you spend on average at least $1,500 per hotel booking (for the total stay)?

Additional considerations

1. We do not quote “Vegas getaways” for first-time clients, although I will consider specific requests for the Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, or SKYLOFTS.

2. We will not respond to a request to quote “all the Virtuoso hotels” in a given destination. Please request one or two hotels at most and specify your desired room categories. We are happy to consult with you personally to provide recommendations and advice.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

For the vast majority of reservations, we provide your credit card information to the hotel as a guarantee. You pay the hotel upon check-out. (Some resorts, and Las Vegas hotels, require a deposit at the time of booking).

This Client Intake Form provides the information we need to set you up as a client and enables me to make reservations on your behalf. You can return it by email, by FAX, or you can provide the information by calling me toll-free. We will not provide quotes before I have received your form.

Once your information is on file, you can simply email your booking requests to us, and we will take care of your reservation. Our regular hours are 9-5 p.m., Eastern time, Monday through Friday – but we often monitor email at other times.
